Mikell, Weidner, Wegmann & Harper provides advice and representation in many areas of the aviation industry.  Our attorneys have extensive trial experience as well as broad backgrounds in aviation.   With their comprehensive-broad qualifications in both law and aviation, Mr. Weidner and Mr. Wegmann enjoy assisting and representing aviators.   The firm represents pilots in FAA Certificate Actions, Medical Certificate Actions, Field Flight Performance Boards, NTSB Hearings and Appeals, Aviation Accident and Incident Matters, Acquisition, Financing and Leasing of Aircraft and FBO representation.   Larry Weidner, the principal attorney in our aviation section, has been a licensed pilot since he was seventeen years of age and currently holds a commercial pilot’s license with single, multi-engine ,and instrument ratings.   He has had special training in aerobatics and flown aircraft ranging from the Cessna 150 to the F/A-18 Hornet.  He is an AOPA Panel Attorney, a member of the NTSB Bar Association and a member of the Lawyer/Pilots Bar Association.   Mr. Weidner is also an adjunct professor of aviation Law and Labor Law with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Wegmann was a Naval Officer in the Marine Corps.   In five years he logged nearly 820 hours, to include approximately 80 Carrier landings.   He obtained his Mission Commander rating, was the winner of the prestigious Norden Bomb Sight Pickle Barrel Award and attained a secondary Military Occupational Specialty of Aviation Maintenance Officer.
