Larry Weidner, the principal attorney in our aviation section has been a license pilot since he was seventeen years of age and currently holds a commercial pilot's license with single, multi-engine and instrument ratings. He has had special training in aerobatics and has flown aircraft ranging from the Cessna 150 to the F/A-18 Hornet. He is an AOPA Panel attorney, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association and a member of the Lawyer/Pilots Bar Association. Mr. Weidner has also been an adjunct professor of Aviation Law and Labor Law with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Wegmann was a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Marine Corps. In five years he logged nearly 820 hours, to include approximately 80 aircraft carrier landings. He obtained his Mission Commander rating, was the winner of the prestigious Norden Bomb Sight Pickle Barrel Award and attained a secondary Military Occupational Specialty of Aviation Maintenance Officer.
