Frampton L. Harper II

A third generation Lowcountry attorney who was raised in Beaufort, South Carolina, Frampton L. Harper II attended Washington and Lee University where he received his BS in Business Administration, cum laude. While an undergraduate he earned multiple letters in varsity basketball and also received an Army ROTC scholarship. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into the United States Army Reserves as a Second Lieutenant. He completed Officer Basic School in 1990 and then began law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1993. He returned to Beaufort and began practicing law with his father in the firm of Harper and Harper. In 1997, he received an honorable discharge from the military having attained the rank of Captain. In 2000, he went into solo practice and remained a solo practitioner until 2009 when he joined with James W. Wegmann and Larry W. Weidner II.
Mr. Harper is licensed in the State and Federal Courts of South Carolina, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Harper's areas of practice include:

  • Probate and Estate Administration
  • Title Research and Deed Preparation
  • Business Formation
  • Business Law
  • Court Appointed Guardianships and Conservatorships

MR. HARPER IS ADMITTED TO PRACTICE IN THE FOLLOWING COURTS: admitted to practice in the following Courts:

  • United States Supreme Court
  • South Carolina State and Federal Courts

Mr. Harper has represented individuals, families and a variety of business entities in the Beaufort community. Mr. Harper has previously served on several non-profit boards, including Sea Island Rotary of which he has been a member for over 25 years. Mr. Harper's interests include history, outdoor sportsman activities, and following his college basketball team, The Generals of Washington and Lee University.
